Something to Talk About Part 11 Heero pushed open the door and was greeted by a crying kitten. Freesia ran to him, looking up with innocent yellow eyes. She cried loudly and Heero picked her up. The crying turned into purring as she rubbed her cheek against his chest. "Trowa?" The Japanese man called in a normal tone as his eyes landed on the partially closed bed room door. Freesia cried again as he headed toward the bedroom. He and Trowa had made plans to go to a movie that afternoon since they both had the day off and Aya was at work. The Latin was suppose to show up at ten; now at noon, Heero had grown worried. He had tried to call, but the phone line was being checked for trouble. He slowly opened the door and was greeted by the pungent aroma of sex. Somehow, he wasn't too surprised to find his best friend still sleeping. Though Dee was gone, Heero knew that the detective had been there somewhere throughout the course of the night and early morning; since there was a pair of handcuffs attached to Trowa's left wrist. Judging from the smell and the fact that his friend was still asleep at noon, he figured that they had had a long night of intercourse. Setting Freesia on the edge of the bed, Heero sat down next to his friend, and half laid so that his lips were close to the Latin's ear. "Hey door knob, did you forget that we had plans?" Heero asked softly into the ear. Trowa half groaned and buried his face into the depths of the pillow case. Heero lightly chuckled, knowing that the Latin was never a morning person. Resting his head against the bare shoulder, he spoke again in his normal voice. "Trowa, come on. It's a quater after noon." The Latin reached down and pulled the blankets further over his head; causing Heero to laugh since now he was covered too. "Thanks, I was getting cold." With that, he sat up on the bed and stared at the covered figure. "Get your ass up boy!" That said, Heero smacked Trowa's backside as hard he could without hurting his friend. This definitely woke the Latin completely. He partially raised from the bed and opened his eyes to stare at Heero. Seeing who had hit him, he laid back down, and struggled to keep his eyes open. Heero laid next to him and gazed into the not yet fully awake face. "Anybody tell you that you're beautiful when you first wake up?" "What?" Now the emeralds had no trouble staying open as he stared at his friend. That was something that he never expected Heero to say. In fact he had never heard his friend say the word "beautiful" before. "That woke you up. What's your policy? Love you and leave you?" "He has to work tonight. If he would have stayed, he wouldn't get any sleep." "You hound dog. How late did you stay up?" Trowa yawned as he tried to remember. "Eight?" "What time did he get here?" "A little after two-thirty." "You had sex for almost six hours straight?" "Not straight. . .but yeah." By this time, the heavy eye lids began to droop. "How in hell can you do that?" "I don't know. . .how long do you spend on sex." "The most I've done was two hours. Damn Trowa, no wonder you have a hard time keeping men. You wear them out." Trowa yawned again, trying his best to stay awake. "Yeah, well. . .Dee doesn't seem to have any problems with it." "What's with this? You into kinky stuff now?" Heero wondered and raised Trowa's cuffed hand. "No. We role played last night. . ." The sentence was interrupted by another yawn. "I was a criminal." "What'd you do?" "I possessed illegal sex toys." "Why does that not surprise me?" Noting the fatigue, Heero sat up straight. "I'll leave you to recruit." "No. It's okay. Just give me a couple of minutes to wake up." As he spoke, he grabbed Heero's arm and pulled him to lay back down next to him. To make sure he didn't move without his knowledge, he laid his head on the strong chest. "Why do I have a feeling that you're going to need more than just a couple of minutes?" The ex-pilot asked as he lightly ran his fingers through his yawning friend's hair. "I'll get up in a minute." "Did you talk to Ken yesterday?" Trowa only nodded as yet another yawn surfaced. "What'd he say?" "He wants to be more than friends, but right now he's happy with it." "What about you?" "I guess as long as Dee's around I won't screw up again." "Why can't you start a relationship with Dee?" "He's too busy to put the time in. He works too much." "But he always finds time to drive across town and have sex with you though. That's bull shit Trowa, what's the real reason?" Heero lightly pushed the covering bangs behind the exposed ear so that he could see Trowa's face. "Trowa." "I don't want to get hurt again." He sat up straight, keeping his back to his friend. "So you're just going to give up? You've never done that before. . .why start now. Forget about Dee and focus on Ken. Ken's a lot better than Dee." "How can you say that without knowing them?" "Did Ken want sex from you right off the bat?" "Heero, I offered myself to Dee. . .and he just accepted." "So what are you going to do? Keep sleeping with Dee so that you don't have urges with Ken." "Why are you acting like this?" "Because it's not right Trowa. You shouldn't be doing this to yourself. Didn't you say before that you hated the way you were? Why are you going back to it?" "I know what I'm doing Heero. I can handle it." "Can you really. . .just think about it Trowa. Seriously think about it. Can you handle it?" The Latin grew silent as he thought about it. He considered what Heero was saying, and what has happened. Deciding that he didn't want to think about it right now, he pushed from the bed and headed toward the bathroom. "Do you really want to have sex with him Trowa? Or are you just doing it because it feels good?" Heero called as he watched his friend prepare the shower. When Trowa didn't respond, Heero made a mental note to find out who this "Dee" guy was and have a little talk with him. As he watched Trowa disappear behind the curtain, he was suddenly filled with guilt. He climbed off the bed and walked into the bathroom. Leaning against the door, he watched Trowa's silhouette against the curtain. "Maybe I'm stepping out of line here Trowa, but I want what's best for you. I hate to see you return to that lifestyle." "Why are you so sure that I will." "Because you're already heading there. I know you think it's just sex, but that's how it started last time, wasn't it? You're not a bad person for liking sex. . .but the way you're doing this is only hurting yourself." Silence reign and Heero stepped back into the living room to wait for his friend to finish. "Hello?" Duo answered after picking up the phone. When he heard the voice on the other side, he was a little surprised. He hadn't heard the voice in almost three months. Hearing it now was a bit of a shock. "Hey Duo, what's new?" Yoji asked in his usual upbeat voice. "Well if it isn't the ghost of the past." The American chided and leaned back in his chair. "What you up to tonight?" "Nothing." "Maybe we can hit a few clubs; you know, like we use to." "What about Omi." There was a brief break before Yoji answered. "Omi's a little upset with me right now. I thought maybe some time apart was being called for." "So you called me? Wow, after three months of neglect, I feel special." "Look, if you don't want to go out, then just say it. Save me the wry remarks." "No. No. I'll go out with you tonight. It'll be like old times. . .right?" Yoji wasn't sure if he liked the sound of Duo's tone at this remark. "We can hit the Ballroom. I'll be ready around eight. Later." Before Yoji could answer, he hung up. He then picked up and dialed Heero's phone number. When there wasn't an answer, he called Trowa's. Not too surprising, Heero answered. "Hey, Heero, whatca doin answering Tro's phone?" "He's in the shower." "Why not go help him?" "What do you want?" "Guess who I just talked to. . ." There was a silence on the other line that told Duo that he wasn't in the mood for guessing games. "Well, I'll just tell you any ways. Yoji." "What did he want?" "For us to go out tonight. He says that Omi's pissed at him for some reason." "Did you agree?" "Yeah." "What about Blondie?" Duo was quiet a moment as he thought about Haruka. "Blondie and I didn't have as much in common as I thought. So we kinda called things off." "He dropped you." "No. That's not it. . .we just. . ." "He dropped you." "No he didn't. In fact, he didn't do anything. . .he was a she." He added in a softer tone. "What? You thought a girl was a guy?" Heero started laughing at the thought. "Okay. That's enough. It was a honest mistake. She really does look like a guy though. But anyways, let's get back to you and Trowa." "What about us?" "Come on Heero, you must have realized something by now. What happened, did you get dumber over the years. Trowa wants you." "Duo, I think you need to lay of the alcohol." "I'm not drunk! You're blind. The two of you would make a perfect couple. You really should just drop Aya and go for it." "Good bye Duo." "Why don't you ever want to think about it?" "Because there's nothing to think about. We're just friends." "Oh, baby, you. You got what I need. But you say he's just a friend. But you say he's just a friend." Duo started singing loudly into the phone. This time, Heero didn't even bother to say 'good-bye' as he hung up on the American. Duo laughed as he placed the receiver. The laughter ended as he realized that now he had the one hit wonder by Biz Markie stuck in his head. "Damn you Heero." "Who was that?" Trowa asked as he stepped from the bedroom, fully dressed and hair slicked back. "Duo." "What'd he want?" "To tell me that Yoji called him." "Why?" "Apparently his and Omi's relationship isn't the best right now. So Yoji's probably going to use Duo's friendship as a distraction until it blows over." The Japanese man looked over at his friend to notice a distant look on his face. "He also asked me why I wasn't helping you in the shower." He added just so that Trowa's mind wouldn't wander too much toward Omi. "You know I could have used an extra hand." Trowa joked and slid over the arm of the couch to sit on the cushion. "Well, if you would have told me before now, I would have helped you. What are you doing later today?" "When Ken gets off from work, there's a motorcycle show at the dome. So we're going to check that out. How about you?" "Depends on how Aya feels." ~ * ~ Chapter
